Our Services

Master Planning Support

We provide comprehensive master planning support for projects of all sizes, including road design, servicing strategies, and bulk earthworks, ensuring seamless integration for residential, commercial, and recreational developments.

Due Diligence Assessments

We conduct detailed infrastructure due diligence assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities, enabling informed decision-making.

Civil Engineering Design

We prepare detailed infrastructure reports, designs, and calculations to support resource consent, engineering approvals, and building consent submissions for a range of projects, including subdivisions, superlots, schools, recreational sites, and commercial developments.

Earthworks

We develop detailed 3D earthworks models for site development and provide erosion and sediment control designs in compliance with the relevant standards.

Roading Design

We design new roads or widen existing public roads, ensuring compliance with Auckland Transport and industry standards, with input from transportation specialists where required.

Three Waters Design

We design stormwater, wastewater, and water reticulation systems, rockbore soakage systems, swales and attenuation tanks using HEC HMS to ensure discharge of post-development flows at pre-development levels.

Flood Risk Assessments

We prepare flood risk assessment reports and design overland flow path (OLFP) conveyance systems to effectively mitigate flood risks.

Accessway and Parking Lot Design

We prepare accessway and parking lot designs.

Contractor Procurement

We prepare "For Tender Packages" to assist with contractor procurement, including the preparation of Schedules of Quantities.

Construction Observations

We prepare and coordinate "Issued for Construction" (IFC) drawings, assist with pre-construction meetings, and conduct on-site observations to ensure compliance with design specifications and CCO approvals. Additionally, we review contractor claims, provide monthly progress reports, and offer technical support for contractors in interpreting plans and specifications.

Utility Coordination

We coordinate utility designs and the setup of utility contracts with the relevant service providers to ensure seamless integration and compliance with project requirements.

Compliance

We engage with CCO’s to secure all necessary certifications and approvals, including Certificates of Acceptance (CoA), Engineering Approval Completion Certificates (EACC), Works Over Certificates, and 224c applications. Additionally, we coordinate with utility service providers to obtain utility Clearance Letters.

Seven fully accessible freehold homes in Otahuhu. Designed to support independent living, the development delivers high-quality, purpose-built housing that promotes inclusion, dignity and community connection for people with disabilities.
Our involvement spans from project inception through to construction and compliance, encompassing concept development, resource consent and engineering approvals, Schedules or Quantities, detailed infrastructure design, neighbour approvals, Vector and Chorus coordination, construction monitoring, and compliance certification (EACC, CoA and Section 224(c)).
Portage Road, New Lynn

12-unit apartment development designed to provide quality, fully serviced housing within an established urban environment. The development includes accessible ground-floor units to support residents requiring wheelchair access, helping create a more inclusive and accessible living environment.
civEDGE Consultants carried out the civil engineering design and prepared the Resource Consent Infrastructure Report and supporting documentation for the Resource Consent application. Our involvement included stormwater management and SMAF 2 tank design, wastewater and water supply servicing assessments, vehicle access and JOAL design, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to support the consenting process.

The development includes accessible ground-floor units to support residents requiring wheelchair access, promoting greater accessibility, independence and inclusion within the community.

A residential infill development involving the subdivision of an existing site into three lots, delivering three new dwellings while retaining the existing dwelling. The proposal efficiently utilises an established urban site and provides modern housing supported by upgraded public infrastructure and services.

Packham Place, Beach Haven

A renovation project at Packham Place involving the upgrade of an existing respite care home to include 4 new bedrooms to improve functionality and support ongoing service delivery.
civEDGE Consultants have been involved with project management services from the tender phase through to construction delivery under an executed NZS 3915 contract. Our involvement includes contract administration, coordination of the project team, oversight of programme and delivery matters, and liaison with stakeholders to support effective project execution.
Ahipara Pedestrian Bridge

Ahipara Pedestrian Bridge involved the integration of a bespoke kōwhaiwhai-inspired pattern into the footpath extension bridge design, based on an initial hand-sketched concept.
civEDGE Consultants worked collaboratively with the construction team to refine the pattern into a buildable design solution and prepared construction drawings for its application to the Ahipara Pedestrian Bridge layout, translating the artistic concept into a constructible outcome.
